"It's always sad to see parent die. My father and Godfathe-hiei's father-died protecting the pack. My mother died gving birth. How did your parents die?" Tsukiko asked, tilting her head

"It's nothing, really." She gave a half hearted smile. "Enough depressing stuff now. Its to.. depressing. The past is the past anyway, look to the future. That's what I say." She stopped. There you go again, babbling. She looked at Tsuki. "You must be bored listening to me talk about myself. What about you? What about your life?"

"How could I be bored? You're quite interesting. As for myself, there isn't much to tell. I was born an only child, the first in many generation on the full moon. I was raised by an aunt and uncle in firepack. Spent a little time with a cousin in wind then moved on to shadow. I met Hiei there and then moved on to moon. While I was there the war began, my father diei, and I began the migration here. Since then life has been pretty mellow." Tsukiko said, summing up her life story. "What about yor past? Where did you comr from? And why did you leave? If you don't mind me asking?"

"I already told I'm from the south, a land of great heat. I didn't leave on my own, I was outcasted, you could call it banished. They called me a coward for not staying with my parents durring the fire. You see they were stuck in human cages and one of the humans started a fire. They told me to flee and worn the pack. I did as I was told, the elders didn't take to kindly, they never liked me. So the pack left me while they escaped, including my siblings. That was the last I saw of any of my family. Now I'm here, with my silly fear of fire."

"That is most certainly not a silly fear. And you need have no fear of something like that happening again. In the western packs, honouring ones parent's wishes is very important. If someones parents told them to flee they would expected to respond in that exact way with no hesitation. Leaving your parents to save yourself on their comand was the best thing you could have done." Tsukiko said, lightly touching Nessa's shoulder with her tail.

She sighed. "I know, but in the southern packs that is called being a coward. We honor our parents wishes yes, but they say staying in the face of danger deserves more honor." She growled. "They're a bunch of stiffs and need to stuff their pride."

"I couldn't agree more. You're only at your bravest when you admit you are afraid," Tsukiko said, nodding.

TSukiko's ears twitched. "Really? How so?" She asked. She'd begun to notice something more motherly about her since comeing here. Especially towards the young leaders.

"You talk like her. Always encuraging others, trying to keep a conversation light. You seem very motherly to the others as well." She shrugged and tipped her tail back into the water.

"I suppose being raised as a 'mutt' and always being told i would fail no matter what and would never be as good as the pure breeds made me think the opposite adn made me want to let others know they can do what they put thier minds to." Tsukiko explained, shrugging
